Mas Trips

Reader Nation!

Hello!  This is one of those inevitable posts, where I have lots of other things to do, and so here I am, doing something that doesn't necessarily have to get done, first!  You remember the place and the time.  We call it Procrasti Nation, and productivity is scheduled for Later O'clock.

Which means, it's time to talk more about those trips I was telling you about when last we spoke!  That first little picture preview...

...was from Sweetwater Creek State Park, just a little drive out to the west from my porch in Atlanta.  We went a couple of weeks ago, when the weather was nice after a break in some incessant rain.  You can see it's true in the brown water and blue sky!

You may have heard of Sweetwater Brewery, and this is the creek that inspired the name.  We have planned to return when it really warms up, to rent some kayaks or paddle boards, or picnic, or hike.  It's a cool park, and if you can, do check it out.  If you can't, here are some more pictures from our trip.

Green!  We found green!

And we found a bench for giants.

And we found a manufacturing company!

But it is very old.

But it is very old.

We also found a daffodil (!) poking up through the ground.  Ah, the joys of January in The South, and fake spring.

Also, let it be known that this was the first trip for my new Keens.  Pretty sweet boots.

Testing out the vertical stick on the treads.  Impressive.

Highly recommend!

And, let's end this post with two more recommendations.  First,  "Morning Star" - book 3 of the Red Rising Trilogy - is scheduled for release on February 9.  If you have not read books 1 and 2, hurry up and do that, so that you are ready for book 3.  I don't know if it will be good, but the first two were.  Second, if you have important little kids in your life, go and poke around at Cat & Owl Co.  Subscribe to the newsletter and play some games with your wee ones.  Logic and reasoning, people.  Let's all get on board with that.

Until next time!
