Hi Reader Nation!
I'm going to keep it short, because there are only a couple of things on my mind this evening.
First, my friends are like:
I maed something that's not that. I maed dis!
Second, last week in my small reading group (I'm a teacher- 3rd grade, y'all), my kiddos cracked up (like, tears rolling down their cheeks) at this part of Gooseberry Park by Cynthia Rylant (context: Stumpy is a squirrel):
I'm just so glad that they laughed, because I was definitely going to laugh, but now I keep chuckling because of how hard they laughed. Books is good. Books. Is. Good.
E did a full garden clean out today while I was out Baby Showering. There was a cantaloupe growing out there! But it had a hole in it. But compost treasure is awesome! And now we have seeds for next year. And he put two avocado trees in pots. So, we also have avocado trees in pots.
OH! AND E's friend sold him a leaf blower for $40 (actually he gave it to E, and E kinda threw dollars back at him so I'm not sure how much money actually went towards the leaf blower) BUT I USED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS WEEKEND AND IT WAS AWESOME! Growing up, my parents never had one because my mom was just like "I love to rake so I'll rake" (weird) so I got this thing out and turned it on and was THRILLED to discover that it is actually NOT a fall tool, IT IS A WAND and now I'm HERMIONE FREAKING GRANGER! No, really, I'm... like... snobby about it. All I need is some weird little professor to tell me "Well done, dear." Leaves... Blown.
Sometime this week I'll get around to wedding reception coverage, for posterity. But I'm looking for your thoughts on what to write about this fall! Leave those suggestions in the comments!
Until Next Time,
K
